We operate toolgive.com and develop the WP AI Builder WordPress plugin — a tool that connects AI clients such as Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Windsurf to your WordPress website via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website, register for an account, purchase a subscription, or use the WP AI Builder plugin. By using toolgive.com or the WP AI Builder plugin, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  • Name and email address — collected via our licensing and payment partner, Freemius, when you register for the Free plan or purchase Starter or Pro.
  • Payment information — credit or debit card details and billing address. This is collected and processed exclusively by Freemius, Inc. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment card details at any point.
  • Country of residence — collected by Freemius to apply the correct tax rate and comply with VAT/GST requirements.
  • Support communications — emails or messages you send to us, retained to provide support and improve our service.

3.2 Automatically Collected Data

When you visit toolgive.com, our hosting infrastructure may automatically collect standard server log data: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, referring URL, and date and time of access. This is used solely for security monitoring and infrastructure management and is not linked to any personal account.

3.3 Plugin Licence Validation Data

The WP AI Builder plugin communicates with Freemius servers to validate your licence. During this process, Freemius may receive your WordPress site URL, WordPress and PHP version, active theme name, plugin version, and your licence key and plan identifier. This is governed by Freemius’s privacy policy.

No content from your WordPress pages, posts, media, or database is ever transmitted to toolgive.com, Freemius, or any AI provider by the WP AI Builder plugin itself. All AI-to-WordPress communication occurs directly and exclusively between your AI client and your WordPress installation.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Account and licence management — to create your account, validate your subscription, issue licence keys, and enforce daily request limits.
  • Payment processing — to process payments through Freemius and issue receipts and invoices.
  • Customer support — to respond to enquiries, troubleshoot issues, and communicate important account information.
  • Product updates and security notifications — to inform you of new plugin releases, security patches, and critical changes to WP AI Builder.
  • Optional marketing communications — only if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Legal compliance — to meet applicable legal obligations, including tax reporting and lawful governmental requests.
  • Service improvement — to analyse website traffic, identify technical issues, and improve our service quality.

6.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose personal information if required by applicable law, a court order, or a governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or prevent fraud.

6.3 Business Transfers

If toolgive.com or WP AI Builder is acquired by or merged with another entity, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before such a transfer takes effect.

7. AI Providers and Your WordPress Data

WP AI Builder enables third-party AI tools — including Claude Desktop (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Cursor, and Windsurf — to interact directly with your WordPress installation. When you configure such a connection, your WordPress data travels between your WordPress server and the AI provider’s servers entirely at your direction. toolgive.com is never an intermediary in this process. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any AI provider you connect to your site before enabling any connection.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide ongoing service. Account records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years following the termination of a paid subscription for tax, accounting, and legal compliance. You may request data deletion at any time by contacting support@toolgive.com, subject to these retention obligations.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights. To exercise any of them, contact us at support@toolgive.com and we will respond within 30 days.
